This isn’t a tactic we usually run with. We only really deploy this tactic when we’re behind and looking to get a goal to get back in the game. We do know, however, that a lot of people use this tactic and have a lot of success with it. U4GM FIFA 20 Teams have found that in the higher divisions and especially on FUT Champions. Players are more accomplished at handling this high pressure and can move the ball around sharply and efficiently, which, can see you committing too many numbers forward. To apply high pressure, using secondary contain always to be sending someone to the ball carrier as well as pressuring passing lanes with the man you’re controlling. The use of custom tactics or the default high-pressure tactic can be useful to help with this style. Be aware that your players will tire faster so having high stamina players will be helpful if you want to use these lots.
1. Many people have spoken with weren’t aware that if you’re using the default tactic ‘High Pressure’ by using the d-pad. HAVE TO press it to activate it EVERY TIME you lose the ball just as you do if you’re using the d-pad to enable the offside-trap. We’re not sure if this will be the case throughout FIFA 20. But just analyse how your team is pressing and if they do run an update which means you do need to touch each time, either employ custom tactics or just get into the habit of putting it on each time there’s a goal kick or a throw-in, when you have a little bit of time to adjust.
2. Couple these tips with the constant pressure on your defensive settings and you’ll be swarming all over your opponent, especially if you couple this with a high line.
